Supply Chain Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations. This role ensures materials are available to support production schedules while maintaining inventory levels, cost targets, quality standards, and supplier performance. The Buyer works with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Suppliers to support on-time delivery and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include purchasing raw materials and services, issuing and managing PO in ERP/MRP, monitoring supplier delivery performance, maintaining inventory, expediting shortages, communicating with suppliers, evaluating supplier performance, coordinating with various departments on material issues, supporting RFQs and supplier selection, keeping ERP data accurate, ensuring compliance, participating in continuous improvement, integrating data for reports, and driving process improvements. Qualifications include a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in related fields, 2–5 years of purchasing experience, ERP/MRP experience, strong Excel, negotiation, and communication skills, and willingness to travel occasionally. Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 annually, DOE. Office in Port Coquitlam, BC.
