The City of Helsinki is seeking a Food Service Manager to ensure the smooth daily operation of the kitchen at Väistötila Eiranranta. Working as part of the Palvelukeskus Helsinki multi-service unit, you will operate in a school kitchen environment, providing daily meals for approximately 160 children from daycare and school age, including students from Jules Verne school and Meripirtti daycare. Your responsibilities include planning and organizing daily kitchen activities, preparing side dishes, heating meals arriving from production facilities, plating food, dishwashing, and maintaining general kitchen cleanliness. You will also handle ordering, invoicing, monitoring financial targets, and quality control. A professional and warm customer service attitude is essential as you will interact with many people daily. Requirements include a relevant education or equivalent work experience, a valid hygiene passport, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a hectic environment. Proficiency in Finnish is required; other language skills are an advantage. The position is a full-time, permanent role with regular working hours on weekdays from 7:00 to 14:39.
