The Special Education Teacher primarily provides group-specific support for one grade level in our lower secondary school. Our special education teachers plan activities diversely through collaboration. Ahtiala Comprehensive School is a unified school providing high-quality basic education in the northern area of Lahti. The school has approximately 670 students and about 70 education and childcare professionals, 53 of whom are teachers. Eligibility requires special education teacher qualifications. Successful performance of the duties requires a strong vision for implementing the new curriculum, a desire and ability to develop teaching, and good interaction skills. Experience in co-teaching and simultaneous teaching is considered an advantage. We value creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to inspire and motivate in a teacher's work. Teacher qualifications are determined in accordance with Decree No. 986/98 on the qualification requirements for teaching staff. If no qualified applicants are found, the position may be filled by an applicant who does not hold the official qualification. Please indicate your qualifications in your application and attach copies of degree certificates proving your eligibility to the electronic application; original certificates will be reviewed during a possible interview. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by Act 504/2002. A drug test certificate may be requested from the selected candidate.
