Ketjut kuntoon is a three-year ESR project administered by the City of Rovaniemi and starting in late 2026. It seeks new kinds of solutions to promote youth employment, cooperation with employers and continuous service pathways. The project operates in the City of Rovaniemi and the Municipality of Ranua, in the Rovaseutu employment area. The development project aims to: 1) Develop an intensive, personal customer service model for young jobseekers and promote their employment. 2) Model and pilot digital service pathways and build an electronic employment ecosystem. 3) Develop cooperation with employers in Rovaniemi and Ranua and increase responsibility in the labour market. The project is implemented as an integral part of the core work of employment services, and the new operating models it develops will become established in practice during the project. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about building and developing new things. You naturally identify development needs and turn new ideas into practical activities in cooperation with businesses, customers and other stakeholders. You also see employment-services staff as key partners in development and can involve employees in planning, experimentation and implementation. You understand that the project's success is measured not only by new initiatives but also by how well the resulting practices remain part of everyday work after the project ends. As an Employment Coordinator, you will work in customer-facing project duties, employer and business cooperation, and development tasks in the City of Rovaniemi and Municipality of Ranua's joint Ketjut kuntoon ESR development project. The five-person project team includes three Employment Coordinators. The Employment Coordinators are responsible for the Kohti työelämää introductory periods and the related onward pathways. Each of the three coordinators has an area of responsibility, although they work closely together. According to their area of responsibility, they handle customer, network, employer and business cooperation and model and pilot digital service pathways together with the project planner. They also participate in organising events and activities and generally contribute to delivering the project's work and objectives. This Employment Coordinator position particularly emphasises cooperation with employers and entrepreneurship. You will actively visit businesses, promote connections between employers and young people, and identify employers' training needs, among other things. In individual customer work, you will be especially responsible for guiding young people moving directly towards employment or entrepreneurship and developing their service pathways. You will work closely with employment and business specialists in the employment area. A suitable higher-education degree is required.
