Registered Nurse

The wellbeing services county of South Savo (Eloisa) is seeking a registered nurse for a fixed-term contract at the Mikkeli dialysis unit for the period 1.10.2026-12.1.2027. The dialysis unit treats patients with kidney failure who require hemodialysis treatment. The unit also includes a clinic for kidney diseases. The unit treats patients who are close to receiving some form of renal replacement therapy and monitors the well-being of patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis. In the duties of a registered nurse at the dialysis unit, you would have the opportunity to become acquainted with a potentially entirely new and different nursing role and operating environment. In our nursing duties, technical skills, interaction with patients, and good teamwork skills are emphasized. The central goal is to care for the patient so that they manage their daily life as well and safely as possible. We will plan an individual orientation for you, taking into account your previous work experience. Eligibility requirements include a Bachelor of Nursing degree from a university of applied sciences or an earlier institute-level degree, as well as legalization in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/94). In addition, sufficient oral and written proficiency in Finnish is required for the performance of the duties. The position requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a health certificate regarding respiratory tuberculosis in accordance with Section 55.
