We are now looking for an Operational Manager for a permanent position at Relove Airport, located at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. As Operational Manager, you will lead one of Relove's most visible and fast-paced locations. Relove Airport is a unique combination of a second-hand store and a café in an international environment where every day is slightly different. You will lead a team of approximately 30 people and work in close cooperation with the rest of the organization, HR, and company management. You will influence business development, build a successful team, and ensure that our customers have a memorable Relove experience on every visit. As Operational Manager, you are responsible for the daily management of the entire Airport unit, the business result, and the overall café and second-hand operations. A special focus area of your work is the responsibility for the entire personnel management process, from recruitment and onboarding to shift planning, skill development, and the management of well-being and work ability. You support the café manager and store manager in their supervisory work, actively monitor sales and profitability, and ensure that goals are achieved in the changing daily situations in a controlled, efficient, and high-quality manner. You are heavily involved in the unit's daily operations and present during shifts, working closely with your team and building a positive working atmosphere and a culture of openness through your own actions, where people feel comfortable and develop. You lead from the side—firmly but with a relaxed approach—and show by example what good management and customer service mean in practice. Long opening hours, a large number of staff, and rapid changes require the operational manager to have the ability to lead decisively even in challenging situations. Expertise and experience: - Several years of experience in operational management within the restaurant industry - Versatile and comprehensive experience in the overall personnel management process - Expertise and desire for people-oriented personnel management; you are accustomed to leading large teams and building a functional and goal-oriented work community - You understand business KPIs and know how to lead operations through sales, profitability, and personnel goals - You react quickly to changes and are able to make independent decisions in a timely and consistent manner Personality that succeeds in this role: - You are an energetic, inspiring, and present leader who wants to participate in daily tasks together with your team - You enjoy a fast-paced daily routine, know how to prioritize, and keep the direction clear even in the midst of haste - You lead by example, decisively, fairly, and with genuine care - You build trust, open interaction, and a good working atmosphere around you - You have strong organizing and cooperation skills and the ability to inspire people to achieve common goals - You value a people-oriented corporate culture and want to build a work community where people thrive, develop, and commit to common goals The position requires legal adulthood as well as a hygiene passport and a liquor license (anniskelupassi). Due to the international customer base and work community, it is important that you communicate fluently in English and well in Finnish.
