Project Developer

Would you like to be at the forefront of creating new homes and area-based projects from idea to implementation? We are looking for a project developer to handle land acquisition for the regional development unit in the Helsinki region as well as Turku and Tampere. You will directly influence what we build and where. Kastelli talot Oy is part of the Harvavalta group, a leading house builder in Finland known for quality. We focus on modern city-family homes and are growing and renewing our operations, with quality timber construction at the core. You will develop single-family and multi-family projects, identify and acquire potential plots, conceptualize new projects, push zoning changes forward in cooperation with authorities, guide the design in the early stages and ensure feasibility, and draft investment proposals ensuring schedules and profitability. The role blends commercial thinking, comprehensive understanding of development, and the ability to move ideas into practice. You will work broadly with internal and external stakeholders: build relationships with landowners, municipalities and partners; proactively network to spot new market opportunities; collaborate closely with Kastelli’s sales and production; ensure smooth progression from development to implementation. You report to the business director. The workplace is in the Helsinki region and there is a possibility of a hybrid work model. The role requires a relevant university degree (commercial or technical) and we especially value experience in development and land acquisition, understanding of zoning and land use, ability to advance zoning projects independently, strong negotiation and collaboration skills, and a proactive, commercial, problem-solving mindset. You can be at the start of your career or an experienced project developer—the key is the right attitude and ability to move things forward.
