About the role

We are looking for a reliable, child-loving nanny for a large family in Jätkäsaari (Helsinki) for the autumn of 2026. The position involves working four days a week (Monday through Thursday). The schedule is 32 hours per week with a monthly salary of €1,600. There is a possibility of additional hours later in the autumn if desired. The preliminary duration of the job is from August to December. (We have applied for early childhood education placements for the children starting in January 2027; however, if they do not secure a spot at our preferred facility, there is an option to continue the job through the spring 2027 term.) The working language can be Finnish, Swedish, or English—the choice is yours. The family has five children, aged 0, 2, 4, 5, and 7. Your duties would involve the daily care of the 2- and 5-year-olds, as well as looking after the 7-year-old—who is in first grade and has neurodivergent traits —especially in the afternoons. Experience with neurodivergent children is an asset but not mandatory; the most important thing is a willingness to learn how to work with a neurodivergent child. You might also be asked to look after the 0- and 4-year-olds if necessary. However, the mother usually studies from home while caring for the 0-year-old baby, and the 4-year-old attends daycare daily. If you have references from previous jobs and experience in childcare, please include them with your application. However, these are not mandatory; the most important qualities are reliability and a genuine desire to work with children. Your duties would include looking after the children's daily routines, playing with them, spending time outdoors and going on outings, as well as light housework (primarily heating up or chopping food for the children and tidying up after them). Additionally, you would assist with taking the children to and from daycare and school. Both locations are less than 2 kilometers away and can be reached by public transport. The preferred start date for the job is August 12th.
