Are you an active and motivated special education professional? Do you consider it important to guide and support students holistically? Sipoonjoki Comprehensive School is a school for grades 1-9 with approximately 460 students. Located in Nikkilä, Sipoo, with good transport links. The school is situated in the modern, bright Nikkilän Sydän school center together with the Swedish-language Kungvägen skola. The schools operate as independent entities, in close cooperation and interaction. Sipoonjoki Comprehensive School provides language immersion teaching, a JOPO class for flexible basic education, special education classes, and preparatory education for basic education. We are now seeking A SPECIAL CLASS TEACHER for the period 18.9.2026 - 4.6.2027 for upper grade special education at Sipoonjoki Comprehensive School. We are looking for an active and collaborative teacher who can implement individual learning arrangements for diverse learners and operate within a multidisciplinary work community according to agreed operating models. Our school has four special classes, which are grouped flexibly and student-centrically. Students are integrated into general education groups. We require systematic cooperation with other teachers and instructors, as well as a readiness for co-teaching. We value previous work experience in the field, good interaction skills, flexibility, a community-oriented approach, and a willingness to develop. In addition to a well-functioning work community, we offer new teaching facilities and the opportunity to participate in the development of the school's operational culture and teaching arrangements. Our school is located in Nikkilä with good transport links within the HSL area. Eligibility requirements are determined according to the Decree on the Eligibility Requirements for Teaching Staff (986/98). Remuneration is determined in accordance with OVTES, and a probationary period applies to the position. The selected candidate must present an acceptable health certificate and a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Vetting of Working with Children (504/2002).
