The position involves teaching both subjects for grades 7-9. Participation in school-specific development is an advantage. Salpausselkä School is a lower secondary school in Lahti with approximately 650 students. Education is provided for grades 7-9. Additionally, the school has two JOPO classes. We provide emphasized education in physical education and LUMA subjects. We are a partner school of the Olympic Committee in sports lower secondary school activities. The teaching staff consists of over 50 professionals: 45 teachers and five school assistants. We focus on goal-oriented subject teaching, strive for a good working environment, and maintain a strong community spirit among staff. Our school has partner schools in France and Germany and participates in the Erasmus+ program. Eligibility requires the qualifications of a subject teacher in physical education and health education. Teacher qualifications are determined according to Decree 986/98 on the qualification requirements for teaching staff. If no qualified applicants are found, the position may be filled by an applicant without the official qualifications. The performance of the duties requires good proficiency in the Finnish language. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by Law 504/2002 before accepting the position. A drug test certificate may be requested from the selected candidate.
