We are hiring a cook for Star Arctic Hotel in Saariselkä for the winter season 2026–2027. Star Arctic Hotel sits in Saariselkä’s mountain scenery, on Kaunispää’s summit, in Finnish Lapland. The hotel offers guests high-quality accommodation, restaurant and program services, in the heart of Lapland’s unique nature. The international clientele come to experience the magic of Lapland, the northern lights and Arctic adventures – and the kitchen team ensures the visit is crowned with high-quality flavors. We are looking for cooks to work during the winter season in the hotel’s à la carte or buffet restaurants. We offer diverse work where you will prepare high-quality dishes in either an à la carte restaurant or buffet kitchen. Your tasks include cooking, plating and quality, and ensuring smooth kitchen operation. The contract starts approximately 1–15 November 2026 and continues until 15 March–31 March 2027. Working time is 112.5 hours per 3 weeks. We expect you to have previous cook experience in either an à la carte or buffet kitchen; ability to work efficiently under pressure without compromising quality; proactive and responsible work attitude; Finnish and/or English language skills; a hygiene certificate; driver’s license and own car (helps with commuting).
