HSE Manager

Your contribution to Prysmian's Success: We are looking for an HSE Manager to join our plant in Merlino & Legnano. Reporting directly to the Italy HSE manager and Plant Director, you will be based in Merlino (LO): You take over the management of Health, Safety, and Environmental protection (HSE) at our site and supervise by persona the Legnano (MI) site for all HSE aspects (availability to travel weekly to the site). You will be responsible for: - Compliance: ensure implementation and compliance with (legal) requirements, ISO standards 14001/45001/50001, internal standards, and (environmental) permits. - Safety Culture Zero & Beyond: establish and implement actions to comply with the company programs aimed at nurturing an open health and safety culture. - Communication: Effectively communicate with management, employees, and regulatory agencies. - Safety Equipment and Procedures: Ensure the availability and proper use of safety equipment, PPE’s. - Incident Investigation: Lead near miss and incident investigations. - HSE Audits: Conduct regular occupational health and safety audits and inspections. - Safety Training: Develop and conduct safety training programs. - Risk Management: Plan, execute, coordinate, and follow up on risk assessments. - Emergency Preparedness: Head of the emergency response organization, maintain the emergency response plan. - Health and Safety reporting: Analyze and report on health and safety performance metrics. - Facilities: Infrastructure management and verification of compliance with occupational Health and Safety regulations. You are the right fit if you have/are: - Fluent in English - Degree in a related field such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering. - Up to minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Manager in a production environment. - Certification as Responsible for the Prevention and Protection Service (RSPP) in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree 81/08. - In-depth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, risk management, emergency response, and safety management systems. - Experience with ISO 45001/14001. ISO 50001 is an advantage. - Internal Auditor certification is an advantage. - Strong communication & interpersonal skills, decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
