We are now seeking a structural designer for concrete structures for versatile design tasks in our Vaasa team. As a structural designer for concrete structures, you will design load-bearing concrete structures for various building projects. You will be responsible for your own design entities and advance solutions in cooperation with the project manager, other design team members, and the client. Your desk may include smaller, independently implemented design tasks as well as larger entities as part of a project group. Our assignments cover new construction and renovation projects – from small expert tasks to significant large-scale projects. We can tailor the job description according to your specialization and interests. It is important to us that you can develop and receive projects that match your experience level and provide an appropriate challenge. We are not afraid to give responsibility and we trust our experts. We operate in 28 locations, and your own office is located in Vaasa. Keys to success in the role We hope you have at least six years of experience in the structural design of concrete structures. You have a suitable education in the construction field (M.Sc. Tech / B.Sc. Arch / B.Eng). You master the basics of statics and the dimensioning of load-bearing structures, and you are proficient in using Office tools and AutoCAD or Tekla Structures design software. Knowledge of RFEM and other industry software is considered an advantage. You have good interaction skills and the ability to communicate fluently and clearly in Finnish. You operate naturally as part of a team, but you also welcome independent tasks. You take responsibility for your own design work and are not afraid to devise new ways of doing things.
