Hamina City is seeking a permanent position as City Clerk as soon as possible or by agreement. The City Clerk is responsible for city administration and legal affairs and acts as the city’s Chief Legal Counsel. In this role you will support the city leadership and political decision-making and be a member of the city’s management team. Key duties include supporting decision-making and legality supervision in the preparation of decisions for the City Council and City Board, serving as secretary and minutes keeper, acting as the City’s Legal Counsel and providing juridical guidance, assisting all departments with legal questions, leading the admin team, and collaborating with HR on collective agreements and personnel matters. The position also covers information and records management and process development. The City Clerk acts as a deputy to the City Mayor. Requirements include a Master of Laws and public administration experience; good English skills. Evening work and full-time arrangement. Salary starts at €7,567.98/month, telephone benefit €20/month.
