Job Description
We are seeking a practical nurse for a permanent position in the South Ostrobothnia wellbeing services area, within the on-call staff for resource services, starting from June 1, 2026, or according to agreement. The initial placement and work area will be in the Kurikka and Ilmajoki social and health centers. Are you looking for variety in your work and the opportunity to work in different units? The purpose of the resource service unit operating within the South Ostrobothnia wellbeing services area is to ensure the availability of staff during various types of absences in different units of our service area. You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with different locations and thereby expand your professional skills. We are looking for a practical nurse for a permanent position in the resource service unit, primarily to meet the needs arising from sudden absences in the Kurikka and Ilmajoki social and health centers. As an on-call staff member, you may also work in a broader area and outside your own rotation area. You could work, for example, in home care for the elderly, residential services, shift care units, developmental disability units, or laboratories. We value the versatility and willingness to rotate through different social and health care units. We will provide orientation to the role in various units. We expect you to have an enthusiastic attitude towards your work, good cooperation and communication skills, strong commitment, and the ability to act flexibly in changing situations. The work is mainly in two shifts, with night shifts also possible depending on the unit. Your rotation units will reserve your shifts through an electronic booking system. You will plan your shifts according to the schedule, mainly in our agreed units. A valid driver’s license and use of your own car are required for the selected candidate. The qualification requirement is a basic degree in social and health care, a practical nurse qualification (in accordance with law 559/1994 or 817/2015). Registration with Valvira’s central register of social and health care professionals as a protected title professional is required. LOVe medication licenses must be completed or completed within one month of starting employment. We take care of your well-being at work through various means. We hold team meetings, and your immediate supervisor is easily accessible. You will have the opportunity to influence your work shifts, which allows for a good work-life balance. The terms of employment and salary are determined according to the SOTE agreement, with a starting salary of €2752.13/month. A trial period applies to the employment. A certificate of health status and a criminal background check in accordance with law 741/2023 § 28 must be presented before starting the role. A drug test may also be required. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace. The role requires vaccination against infectious diseases in accordance with section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a certificate regarding tuberculosis of the respiratory tract in accordance with section 55.
