Dental Hygienist

The dental hygienist acts as a partner to a specialist in pedodontics in both the Myllypuro and Vuosaari dental clinics. In addition, the dental hygienist acts as part of the area's children and youth team and is involved in developing the team's activities. The job description includes both clinical work in the dental clinic and comprehensive development work in the oral health care children and youth team. The tasks require flexibility, a development-oriented attitude and good teamwork skills. Experience working with children is considered an advantage. In addition to the work done with children and youth, the position also includes work in basic dental care. Eligibility requirements: Practical nurse degree with oral and dental care training program or dental hygienist degree. The position requires legalization in Finland in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals 559/1994. The language skill requirement is good oral and satisfactory written skills in Finnish. Before the selection decision, the applicant must present an occupational health care assessment of their ability to perform the tasks included in the work. The position requires vaccination protection in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis certificate in accordance with Section 55. In addition, we require a positive attitude, good interaction skills, responsibility and a willingness to develop. Previous experience of clinical dental hygienist work is considered an advantage.
