We are seeking a higher education intern for the Wellbeing Unit for the period 18.9.–18.12.2026. The internship is located in the wellbeing unit of the City of Vaasa's wellbeing services. The Wellbeing Unit promotes the wellbeing and health of residents preventatively. It collects and analyzes wellbeing data, coordinates the implementation of the wellbeing plan, and collaborates with city sectors, the wellbeing services county, and organizations to improve the everyday wellbeing of residents. The work in the unit is diverse and occurs at multiple levels. We are looking for a higher education intern studying a relevant field, with an interest in promoting wellbeing and health, and a desire to learn about diverse development and practical tasks from a municipal administration perspective. Success in the position requires good oral and written Finnish language skills. Proficiency in Swedish and English is also valued. In your work, you will work closely with the wellbeing unit staff, e.g., by preparing and participating in various events and occasions, assisting in the preparation, execution, and result compilation of various surveys, and participating in various working group meetings. It will help you in your work if you are energetic, bold, approachable, and solution-oriented. We especially value: - a proactive and responsible work approach and the ability to move things forward - good interaction and cooperation skills (you will work with different target groups and networks) - organizational skills and interest in event planning and implementation - fluent written and oral communication and readiness to produce content for different channels - courage to acquire, structure, and compile information (e.g., reports, survey data) - ability to use common data processing software - interest in public sector development and wellbeing work We offer benefits for city services, a commuter bike benefit, and an e-pass for culture, sports, and wellbeing. Timing and duration: 18.9.–18.12.2026. Nature of work: full-time (36.25 h / week). Salary: 1487.55€/month, calculated relative to working hours. It is considered an advantage if you have an internship grant (voucher) available.
