We are now looking for a social worker for a fixed-term employment contract from 10.8-31.12.2026. Welcome to Rinnekodit Breikki Helsinki! The substance abuse service unit Breikki Helsinki is a unit that implements opioid substitution treatment, providing care and rehabilitation. You will work with clients whose treatment goals are mostly harm-reducing. Our operations are based on evidence-based work, fairness, as well as community, inclusion, and agency. It is valuable to us to respect the human dignity of every client and meet them as equal individuals. Task and its goals: In Rinnekodit's substance abuse services, we are professionals of encounter. The client's concern is heard and responded to. We build caring communities and ensure a communal professional approach. We support our clients' opportunity to live a life of their own kind. With us, you work as a human for a human, working alongside our clients. Your tasks include diverse psychosocial care/rehabilitation tasks in the community and individually. The treatment aims to improve our clients' life management and quality, recovery from addiction and sobriety. We expect from you: a degree in social work (sosionomi) and registration with the licensing and supervisory authority; a social and health care professional card (Kanta certificate card) OR readiness to acquire the card during the probation period; readiness for day work; interest in working with substance abusers; a caring approach; basic proficiency in Finnish for documentation and client interaction; vaccine protection according to section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act. You will work together with practical nurses, registered nurses, social workers and your supervisor, the service unit manager.
