We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Management for a fixed-term two-year position. The role is in the field of business studies. The employment begins on October 1, 2026, or as agreed. The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the Strategic Business Development research group, actively participating in project planning, implementation, and applying for national and international research funding. The role emphasizes building long-term cooperation with regional companies, development organizations, and university centers, and identifying opportunities for research, development, and innovation collaboration based on regional economic needs. The role includes teaching and supervision in the Master's program in Business Development, closely linked to regional research and RDI activities, involving students in regional development through course projects, company cooperation, and theses. The candidate should have a strong interest in research-oriented pedagogy and the ability to integrate research, teaching, and regional impact. The position requires regular work in Seinäjoki, Kokkola, and Vaasa, with the primary work location in one of these cities. Experience in practical and applied teaching, motivation to engage with companies and regional actors, and ability to build research networks are valued. The role involves active engagement with companies, developing research networks, and creating new research and RDI projects with regional companies and stakeholders. The annual working hours are 1612. The salary is approximately 3630–4080 euros/month, depending on experience and merits.
