We are looking for a project manager for our construction management unit in Helsinki to lead renovation and alteration projects in residential and commercial properties. You will be responsible for your own projects, work directly with clients and property professionals, and lead projects from design through construction to handover. Your work is independent, but you will have a 36-person team of construction management professionals to support you, with expertise across different areas of construction. What will you do? As project manager, you will manage construction projects for our clients’ properties. Projects may include façade and roof renovations, other building-technology planned maintenance repairs, and alteration projects in commercial premises and tenant spaces. You will independently lead projects and manage their budgets, schedules, design coordination, tendering, procurement, construction contracts, construction management, client communications and reporting. Depending on the project, you may also be responsible for supervising delivery. Projects typically range in value from approximately €20,000 to €1 million and last from a few months to several years. You will usually work on several projects and client relationships at once, getting to know different properties, owners, users and project stakeholders. The role can grow with your expertise The focus of the role can be shaped around your experience, strengths and interests. In addition to project management, you may have the opportunity to take on a larger role in a named client account and be responsible for its overall construction management. This may involve coordinating a portfolio of projects, supporting the client’s investment planning and developing construction management practices together with the account team. The role suits both an experienced project manager and a professional from the contractor side. Your everyday work with us Your working days may include project meetings, site visits, design coordination, tendering, contract matters and discussions with clients. You will work closely with clients and property, account and leasing organisations. Through your work, you will ensure that projects progress in a planned way and that clients receive a clear and timely picture of their status. You can plan your working days and weeks largely independently. Your home office is in Ruoholahti, Helsinki, but we also work flexibly remotely and at project sites. Projects are generally concentrated around your home office, although some may be elsewhere. What we promise you • Responsibility and autonomy. You will have an independent role and the opportunity to lead projects comprehensively. You can plan your own work and influence how you bring your projects successfully to completion. • Strong professional support. You will join a unit of 36 construction management professionals. Colleagues will support you, and you can discuss even challenging project situations with them. • The chance to make a long-term difference to clients’ properties. You will look beyond individual construction projects and gain an understanding of clients’ property portfolios, investment needs and business objectives. • The opportunity to develop your role. Depending on your expertise and interests, you can take responsibility for more demanding projects, larger portfolios or construction management for a named client. Our broad property-sector environment also offers alternative career paths. • A flexible working model. We work at the office, remotely and at project sites as the work requires. You have the freedom to plan your everyday work and week. • A relaxed but ambitious workplace. We take the quality of our work seriously without unnecessary formality. We value collaboration, straightforward ways of working and sharing expertise.
