Practical Nurse

In home care, you are where care matters most: in the client's own everyday life. In this position, you will perform versatile and meaningful work with elderly people in various parts of Turku. Positions are available in the Pohjola and Kupittaan areas. Your Role You will work as a practical nurse in home care as part of a multidisciplinary team, yet independently in clients' homes. Your days will consist of diverse nursing tasks: in addition to basic care and nursing, you will perform medical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, as well as ostomy and catheter care. You will participate in assessing clients' care and service needs and be involved in developing care and services for the elderly. You will have the opportunity to take on various responsibilities according to your interests and develop your skills through training. The work communities have an open atmosphere where cooperation is smooth and humor is part of everyday life. Work is performed in two shifts. We use collaborative shift planning, which allows for a better balance between work and family life and enables you to participate in the planning of your shifts. We are specifically looking for an active practical nurse who is enthusiastic about their work. In the Pohjola area, the work requires a driver's license and the possibility of using your own car; in the Kupittaan area, you can manage on foot or by bicycle. You will need good Finnish language skills for your work. An active LOVe medication permit (the permit can be completed through the employer), experience working with the elderly, and OMNI360 and RAI expertise are considered assets. Eligibility requirements include a vocational qualification in social and health care (practical nurse) or a previous school-level degree in the field, as well as valid registration in the JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
