What kind of work awaits you? The position is full-time and permanent. The work is in 3-shift rotations. We will agree on the starting date together with you. As an instructor, you support and encourage young people in everyday situations and participate in the evaluation of their care and educational work. The work is based on listening to the young person, respectful encounters, and strengthening participation. The work is carried out in close cooperation with guardians, local networks, schools, and social authorities. Each young person is assigned their own pair of instructors. Openness, transparency, and the young person's participation are emphasized in the work. The goal of the cooperation is to realistically examine the young person's life situation and to identify and strengthen the resources of the young person and their family. Nuorisokoti Tikki is located in Littoinen near Turku and provides substitute care for young people aged 13–18. The Neppari unit, a special-level unit at Tikki, provides a safe everyday life and a rehabilitative growth environment for young people needing stronger support. Upon arriving at Neppari, young people may have symptoms related to substance use, mental health, emotional challenges, or neuropsychiatric issues, and some may also exhibit criminal behavior. The goal of the operation is to stop harmful substance use and strengthen the young person's emotional skills, life management, and daily rhythm. At Neppari, the young person's overall situation is mapped and the need for individual support is assessed. The work is systematic and goal-oriented, focusing on key everyday challenges. The young person practices a substance-free daily life, emotional skills, and taking responsibility for their own life with support. Salary The salary for the position is between 2723.92–2990.35 €/month depending on your work experience. We require a suitable Bachelor's degree (AMK) for the position (e.g., social worker, nurse, occupational therapist, or rehabilitation instructor). We hope for experience in working with young people, especially in child welfare, youth psychiatry, or substance abuse work. We value strong professional skills, good interaction skills, empathy, ability to cooperate, and a flexible approach to work. Additional training, such as neuropsychiatric coach training, is also considered an advantage. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract required for those working with children in accordance with Section 6, Subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993).
