Engineering Manager – SYNCHRO Team Location: Vilnius, Lithuania (Office-based / Hybrid) Position Type: Full-time Position Summary Bentley Systems is seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead the SYNCHRO engineering team in our Vilnius office. SYNCHRO is Bentley’s industry-leading platform for 4D construction scheduling and model-centric project delivery. In this role, you will lead a high-performing, cross-functional team building the tools that connect design intent to field reality at an infrastructure scale. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and aligning engineering execution with Bentley’s global Model Centric Construction strategy. Responsibilities Lead and Inspire - Lead, grow, and mentor a cross-functional team of software engineers across the entire SYNCHRO product stack, ranging from the core scheduling engine to mobile field applications. - Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and technical growth within the Vilnius engineering hub. Drive Strategic Delivery - Partner closely with Product Management to define and deliver a quarterly roadmap that aligns with Bentley’s broader Model Centric Construction goals. - Ensure the team meets delivery milestones with a focus on predictability, quality, and performance. Own Technical Excellence - Drive architectural decisions and maintain high standards for code quality across native desktop, web, and Android surfaces. - Serve as the primary engineering voice in technical reviews, user escalations, and partner engagements. Champion Innovation - Actively champion the adoption of AI-assisted development practices, including the integration of GitHub Copilot and Azure AI Studio within the development lifecycle. - Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies to maintain SYNCHRO’s competitive edge in the BIM and construction tech space. Collaborate Across Functions - Collaborate with platform teams on iTwin integration, IFC/4D data exchange, and the broader Bentley geospatial ecosystem. - Coordinate with global engineering leadership to ensure architectural consistency and shared best practices. Qualifications - Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in an engineering leadership or team lead role. - Leadership: Proven ability to build, retain, and develop high-performing teams in a distributed, international environment. - Technical Depth: Strong technical background in one or more of the following: .NET/C++, cloud-native architecture (Azure preferred), or enterprise desktop applications. - Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with construction technology, BIM workflows, or geospatial platforms is a significant advantage. - Process Excellence: Experience with Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering metrics (Azure DevOps or equivalent). - Communication: Clear, direct communicator capable of translating complex business goals into actionable engineering execution. Requirements
