Tammela town municipality of about 6,000 residents, located between two national parks, is inviting applications for a fixed-term position of a child day care worker in early childhood education. The role is primarily based at Portaan day care. We offer a work environment with moderate group sizes and staff working in teams. We have developed play pedagogy and play environments to provide children with developmental interests. We operate according to the ProVaka operating model, focusing on guiding desired behavior. The municipality is known for its beautiful nature and UNICEF child-friendly status; children’s participation guides our actions. We expect you to be prepared to work in a child-friendly municipality, to know the Basic Curriculum for Early Childhood Education pedagogy, to commit to the ProVaka model and play pedagogy, and to be interested in collaboration with families and flexible teamwork. Eligibility requires qualification as a child day care worker. Salary and terms are in accordance with KVTES. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extracted as required by law before starting employment. A two-month probationary period will be observed.
