Job description As a steel structures designer, you will be responsible for designing load-bearing steel structures from the conceptual stage through to detailed fabrication drawings. You will work independently as part of an expert team. We offer Full remote-work opportunities, an independent and responsible role, and the chance to work on varied and challenging projects. Responsibilities The role focuses on 3D modelling of steel structures, structural calculations and design, and producing fabrication drawings. - Design load-bearing steel structures from start to finish - 3D modelling using Tekla Structures - Strength calculations and structural design - Design steel connections, welding classes and bolted joints - Collaborate with customers and project stakeholders What we are looking for - Strong, practically demonstrated Tekla Structures skills - Fluent English - A thorough understanding of the behaviour and design of steel connections Considered an advantage - Fluent Finnish - Relevant technical education, such as a university of applied sciences engineering degree or vocational qualification Recruitment process Academic Work is handling this recruitment on behalf of its client, which asks that all questions about the position be directed to Academic Work.
