The wellbeing services county of South Savo (Eloisa) is seeking two registered nurses for fixed-term contracts at the Mikkeli Treatment Center. One fixed-term period is from 1.9.2026 to 12.1.2027 and the other from 14.9.2026 to 12.1.2027. Interviews and selections may be conducted during the application period. At the treatment center, nurses manage a large portion of the intravenous medication treatments provided at Mikkeli Central Hospital (including cytostatics and antibody treatments). The center also serves other medication patients requiring monitoring or observation. We also serve patients whose treatment requires preparation for procedures, as well as monitoring and observation after the procedure. In addition to medication treatments, we support patient coping through timely information, guidance, and support provided at medication guidance nurse and/or oncology nurse clinics. Staff administering medication also guide and advise patients. The treatment center also hosts oncology and hematology clinics. The treatment center is open Monday to Friday. Most patients are treated between 7:30 and 15:00. From Tuesday to Thursday, the treatment center is open until 17:30. Eligibility requirements include a Bachelor of Nursing degree or an earlier institute-level degree, and legalization in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/94). Additionally, sufficient oral and written proficiency in Finnish is required for the performance of the duties. The position requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a health certificate regarding respiratory tuberculosis according to Section 55.
