Early Childhood Education Teacher (Substitute) - Joutsan kunta - Joutsa, Finland

We are looking for motivated and professional early childhood education teachers who want to be involved in building high-quality early childhood education. This role emphasizes strong pedagogical skills, interaction skills, teamwork, and understanding of the importance of full-day pedagogy and play. As an early childhood education teacher, you will serve as the pedagogical leader of your group. You will be responsible for creating the operational culture and learning environment of your child group, planning, implementing, developing, and evaluating pedagogical activities, as well as pedagogical documentation. Terms of employment are governed by the municipal teaching staff collective agreement (OVTES). The salary based on the level is €2,905.29 - €3,290.25. Additionally, there are possible level supplements, experience bonuses, and extra pay for qualifications meeting early childhood education teacher requirements. The qualification requirement for the position is compliance with the Early Childhood Education Act section 26 or transitional provisions (section 75): a bachelor's degree in education (early childhood education teacher), a suitable university of applied sciences degree, or an equivalent previous diploma, e.g., kindergarten teacher or social educator (Act 272/2005 and Regulation No. 608/2005). If no qualified applicants are available, the position may be filled temporarily by suitable candidates. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract related to working with children, as required by law (504/2002), before starting work. The position is subject to a 6-month probation period. Interviewees must present original degree and employment certificates during the interview.
