We review applications during the application period, and the position may be filled immediately once a suitable candidate is found. We are looking for motivated and professional early childhood education teachers who want to be involved in building high-quality early childhood education. This role emphasizes strong pedagogical skills, interaction skills, teamwork, and understanding of the importance of full-day pedagogy and play. As an early childhood education teacher, you will serve as the pedagogical leader of your group. You will be responsible for creating the operational culture and learning environment of your child group, planning, implementing, developing, and evaluating pedagogical activities, as well as pedagogical documentation. We hope you have: Sensitive interaction skills: Ability to create a safe and encouraging learning environment for children. Goal-oriented and planned approach: Ability to set clear goals for activities and plan actions to achieve them. Pedagogical methods support goal attainment. Pedagogical planning and implementation: Strong skills in planning, executing, evaluating, and developing pedagogical activities. Evaluation and development skills: Ability to assess pedagogical activities and utilize evaluation data for development. Strong curriculum knowledge. Desire to develop and improve. Pre-school teacher qualification is considered an advantage. Joutsan municipality employees enjoy comprehensive well-being benefits. Extensive e-pass. One free swimming session per week at Leivonmäki swimming hall. Free gym access. Planned starting from August 1: clothing allowance up to €150 per year. Terms of employment are governed by the municipal teaching staff collective agreement (OVTES). The salary based on the level is €2,905.29 - €3,290.25. Additionally, there are possible level supplements, experience bonuses, and extra pay for qualifications meeting early childhood education teacher requirements. The qualification requirement for the position is compliance with the Early Childhood Education Act section 26 or transitional provisions (section 75): a bachelor's degree in education (early childhood education teacher), a suitable university of applied sciences degree, or an equivalent previous diploma, e.g., kindergarten teacher or social educator (Act 272/2005 and Regulation No. 608/2005). If no qualified applicants are available, the position may be filled temporarily by suitable candidates. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract related to working with children, as required by law (504/2002), before starting work. The position is subject to a 6-month probation period. Interviewees must present original degree and employment certificates during the interview.
