We are looking for a SHIFT MANAGER for the Sahara garrison restaurant to join the special forces of good food, who take care of the food supply of the Guards Jaeger Regiment in the maritime landscapes of Santahamina, Helsinki. Your task, together with another shift manager and the restaurant manager, is to keep this group happy in their work and keep the ladles turning in both normal and exceptional circumstances. What is this about? The army does not march on an empty stomach, and food plays an important role in the endurance of conscripts. At the Sahara garrison restaurant, the special forces of good food work with #rintarottingilla – our soups ensure that conscripts have enough strength to perform their military service every day of the year. In addition, we set the lunch table for the personnel of the Defence Forces. As a shift manager, you will assist the restaurant manager in ensuring that the daily operations of the garrison restaurant run smoothly. Together, you will lead your restaurant to achieve goals in terms of customer and staff satisfaction as well as results. We are looking for a shift manager with strong kitchen expertise, as you will also participate in the daily operations of the restaurant if necessary. You will work closely with our customers and be responsible for daily operations. Your work is diverse and includes making orders, invoicing, as well as planning and implementing various events. Your work focuses on weekdays between 5 AM and 6 PM, but you are ready to work weekend and holiday shifts. We are a partner to our customers in both everyday life and celebrations, and there is an opportunity to participate in the Defence Forces' exercises. This job is for you if you are motivated by diverse tasks and want to develop operations together with your special forces of good food. Essential recruitment criteria: To succeed in this job, you must have several years of work experience in the restaurant industry. This gives you the readiness and understanding that you can utilize when you support and lead the operations of the garrison restaurant together with the restaurant manager. We consider previous experience and education in supervisory work as an advantage. With coaching and honest leadership, you help your troops succeed in their work.
