About the role

The City of Salo's early childhood education services are seeking an early childhood education teacher for Ollikkala Kindergarten for a permanent employment contract. Ollikkala Kindergarten is a multilingual community in the center of Salo. As an early childhood education teacher, you will be responsible for: - the pedagogical activities of your children's group in accordance with the early childhood education and pre-primary education plans - supporting the holistic growth, development, and learning of children - considering multilingualism and linguistic awareness in everyday pedagogy - collaborating with the team, guardians, and other experts as needed - planning and implementing pedagogical documentation We are a reliable and stable employer. Eligibility requirement for the position is qualification in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) or the transitional provision (Section 75) of the Early Childhood Education Act. Pre-primary education qualification is considered an advantage. We expect from you: - interest and readiness to work with multilingual children and families - good interaction and cooperation skills - a pedagogical approach and the ability to develop activities together with other staff - ability to work in Finnish (other language skills are considered an advantage) Work starts on September 1, 2026, or by agreement. There is a six-month probationary period in the employment relationship, provided the conditions of the collective agreement are met.
