Client Manager
Lead a new employer and entrepreneurship services unit in Turku; higher-education degree required.
We are seeking a Client Relationship Manager for Turku’s employment and entrepreneurship services to lead and develop a new employer and entrepreneurship services unit. The City of Turku’s employment services are part of the vitality services. The employment services area is responsible for organizing public employment services, promoting employment in the city, and developing and coordinating related work with the city’s other functions. The area also provides services that promote international expertise and integration. It also provides services for starting entrepreneurs. As Client Relationship Manager for employer and entrepreneurship services, you will be responsible for launching the new unit, leading its services, and designing, introducing and continuously developing operating models. You will ensure that the needs of employers, entrepreneurs and jobseekers meet and that the services support the availability of skilled labour for the region’s needs. You will be responsible for the unit’s service capacity, cost-effectiveness and results, and lead the unit’s staff in a goal-oriented and inspiring manner. You will build consistent practices and service processes, develop new services, partnerships and operating models to meet the needs of employers, companies and entrepreneurs, and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation. You will monitor labour-market developments and use customer and labour-market information in service development. You will also be responsible for developing employer services, international recruitment services, and employer and business networks. You will work closely with employers, companies, business associations, educational institutions, municipalities, Business Turku, the wellbeing services county, authorities and other key partners. You will build effective cooperation networks, strengthen companies’ service experience and awareness of the services, and promote employment and the conditions for company growth. You will also be responsible for monitoring and achieving your unit’s objectives. We expect you to have: - Good knowledge of employment policy, the legislation concerning it, services and operations - Experience in direct management - A good understanding of the needs of jobseeker and employer customers and of promoting matching - A proactive, innovative and forward-looking approach - Business-oriented thinking and a good understanding of the business environment, conditions for growth and workforce needs - The ability to build cooperation networks and engage stakeholders in shared objectives We value: - Experience developing services, operating models or new service offerings - Experience leading services offered to employers and other business customers - Strong organizational, interpersonal and collaboration skills - Experience in network-based work and building partnerships A higher-education degree is required. The public-service position has a six-month probationary period. The selected candidate must provide a certificate concerning their health, based on a pre-employment health examination.
