Planning a unique Porvoo! We are seeking a Master Plan Manager for a permanent position in the urban planning service area of the City of Porvoo starting September 1, 2026, or as agreed. The Master Plan Manager is responsible for leading the master planning in Porvoo's city center, village areas, and the archipelago. The responsibilities of the position centrally include regional stakeholder cooperation and participation in various projects such as the Eastern Railway. The work emphasizes constructive and development-oriented interaction with residents, stakeholders, authorities, and customers. Additionally, the duties include guiding and procuring various reports, expert tasks, preparing statements, and participating in other urban development such as the preparation of growth forecasts and the planning of land-use implementation. The eligibility requirement for the position is a higher university degree in architecture, a Master of Science in Technology, or another higher university degree suitable for the responsibilities of the position. In addition, we require planner certification, extensive experience required in project management tasks, and good oral and written skills in a national language. Good oral skills in a second national language and experience in the effective leadership of planning and planning projects are considered an advantage. Success in the position requires fluent management of digital tools, a systematic and active approach to work, and good teamwork skills. In addition, the position requires good interaction skills and the ability to act effectively in cooperation with both internal and external partners. The Master Plan Manager's office is located in the center of Porvoo with excellent transport links. The position requires mainly genuine presence, but occasional remote work is flexibly possible. The terms of the employment relationship are determined in accordance with the Collective Agreement for Municipal Technical Personnel (TS). The position-specific salary is €5,550.85/month. In addition, a professional supplement of €444 can be paid. A brief security clearance (Security Clearances Act 726/2014) will be carried out on the selected person with their permission.
