We are now looking for a practical nurse or a final-stage student for a fixed-term instructor substitute position for the period 21.9- 15.11.2026 Welcome to Rinnekodit Ruska! Completed in 2017, Rinnekodit Ruska provides housing services in disabled home groups in Rovaniemi. The services of the city center are close by – just a walking distance away! Our clients are mainly people with intellectual and neurological disabilities. Task and its goals In your position, you will work as an important part of our work community. Your presence is important – you are in an important role enabling a good everyday life for our clients. As an instructor, you work alongside our residents and help them live an individual everyday life. You work in a service housing unit and provide our residents with versatile guidance and support to enable independent living. Your job description may consist of, for example, supporting and maintaining our residents' functional capacity, basic care, reporting and supporting overall well-being. You assist our clients in handling everyday chores, finding a regular rhythm of life and participating in studies or transitioning to working life. Your presence is important – genuine encounter with the client and supporting communication are a significant part of your task. We expect from you: - a degree in the social and health care field (e.g. practical nurse and Valvira Suosikki registration OR final stage studies) - readiness for three-shift work - basic skills in Finnish, which you need for recording and meeting clients - ability to meet our clients individually and act in their best interest - vaccine protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. We check the criminal record extract of the person selected for the task in the manner intended by legislation (Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care) before concluding the employment contract. The criminal record extract must not be older than six months.
