Technical Layout Designer

**We are seeking an experienced layout designer to work on demanding international design and development projects.** We are now seeking an experienced layout designer for permanent employment on a range of technical design and product development tasks. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding technical needs and turning them into functional, safe and cost-effective design solutions. Your duties include preparing layout drawings and mechanical designs, as well as carrying out technical calculations. You will analyse project requirements, select suitable solutions and ensure that safety, manufacturability and ease of installation are taken into account in the design. **What we hope for from you** - A suitable engineering or Master of Science in Engineering degree - At least three years of experience in layout design or comparable technical design tasks - A strong understanding of mechanical design and technical systems - Experience with 2D design - Experience analysing technical requirements and preparing customer-specific design solutions - The ability to account for safety, manufacturability, installability and cost-effectiveness in design - The ability to work as part of an international, multidisciplinary network - An independent, solution-oriented approach and readiness to make technical decisions - Good Finnish and English skills - Good collaboration and communication skills At ALTEN Finland, you will join a knowledgeable, low-hierarchy work community that genuinely invests in developing employees’ expertise.
