Area Manager, Machinery Areas - RMC - Rauma Marine Constructions Oy - Rauma, Finland

We are seeking an Area Manager for production area equipment (machinery). As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for the overall technical implementation of ship machinery installation work. Your daily work includes presence at the shipyard and resolving emerging challenges. You will oversee the work of installation team supervisors and installers, manage the availability of materials and tools, and handle contractual technical issues related to subcontractors' work, including schedule and cost control. Schedule, quality, and HSE are integral to your daily tasks. Before the installation phase, you will participate in contract preparation, review of design documents, and, if necessary, factory testing. You will also be responsible for planning the installation work in collaboration with the subcontractor performing the installations. Stakeholders include RMC's other organizational units such as production, design, and supply chain management, as well as external networks and suppliers. In this role, you will report to the Production Manager. Qualifications include a suitable engineering or DI degree and at least 5 years of experience in similar roles. We expect you to be proactive, initiative-taking, and able to work collaboratively with internal and external networks. Proficiency in both Finnish and English is required.
