Head of Department, Obstetrics and Gynecology

Join us in building the future of obstetric and gynecologic tertiary care at HUS. We are seeking a Head of Department for the obstetrics and gynecology on-call service to the permanent position. The role offers an opportunity to combine clinical expertise, leadership and mentoring of residents, and development of operations within HUS’ university environment. The Head of Department acts as the supervisor of residents and actively participates in clinical patient care on obstetric pathways. The role emphasizes strong perinatology expertise, a training-oriented work approach, and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Key duties include: - serving as supervisor for residents - supporting training, guidance and wellbeing of residents - clinical work in obstetric services - involvement in on-call duties across all our sites, especially Hyvinkää and Jorvi hospitals - developing clinical practice and training in collaboration with other responsible personnel Clinical work is located in Hyvinkää hospital for at least 12 days per week. Other workplaces are the Women’s Clinic and Jorvi hospital.
