At Eaton, we are committed to Lead, Invest and Execute for Growth. ## What you’ll do: Acting as a key contributor to our R&D excellence, the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will make, innovate, document and test mechanical designs of UPS systems and accessories. They will drive innovation and deliver exceptional results across these responsibilities: * Practice cutting-edge sheet metal, die cast, and injection mold design solutions * Ensure strategic material selection and surface treatment optimization initiatives * Execute product cost optimization to maximize value and competitive advantage * Leverage DFSS methodologies to drive continuous improvement and design excellence * Design maintainability-focused solutions that enhance customer experience * Ensure world-class safety standards through proactive design leadership * Design cables and harnesses for optimized system integration * Do and/or guide thermal analysis, design optimization, and validation testing programs * Drive advanced FEM analysis (vibration, seismic, static) to ensure product integrity * Drive prototype development from concept to hands-on realization * Deliver comprehensive technical documentation across mechanical, harness, and assembly (BOM) domains * Provide expert analysis and swift resolution of complex product challenges * Serve as a trusted technical advisor to product management, technical support, and sales teams ## Qualifications: * University degree in Mechanical engineering * Solid experience in mechanical design ## Skills: * Deep understanding of material properties & manufacturing methods * Multidisciplinary (mechanical, electrical) prototyping capability * Good verbal and written communications in English * Know-how on 3D CAD softwares * Ability to work in a project team and manage multiple personal tasks under low guidance. ## What we can offer to you: * Contract in fast growing global company * Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team * Great promotional opportunities - We encourage internal promotion, whenever possible * Excellent working environment - safety and ethic are really important for us #LI-KK2 All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
