General Practitioner

We welcome you to become a health center physician at Itä-Uudenmaan hyvinvointialue. We are looking for one health center physician for a permanent position starting 1 December 2026 or as agreed. The position is primarily located in the Lovisa unit, but our doctors are employed by the entire welfare region. We are looking for a general practitioner, a physician in training, or a specialist in general medicine. In partial practice you will work in a multifunctional and human-sized team. The area operates within the training health center system of the HUS region. We foster a development-friendly atmosphere and good opportunities to influence your own job description and working hours by agreement with the supervisor. You can do both consultative team work and independent work. The health center emergency clinic is open 8–16. We have imaging and laboratory services provided by HUS. The building also houses physiotherapy services and a health center hospital ward. Occupational health services are handled by Mehiläinen. Partial remote work can be negotiated. Requirements include a licensed physician in Finland and proficiency in one domestic language (written and spoken) and good oral skills in the second domestic language. Beneficial is interest in general medicine specialization and experience or interest in child health clinics and school health care. Conditions follow the union contract for doctors (LS) with a six-month probation. Salary according to the career ladder, starting at 6170 €/month for new graduates and 7322 €/month for specialists. Bonuses are paid separately. The career ladder allows positive salary progression. Vaccination protection as required by infectious diseases law §48 and tuberculosis screening as per §55 are mandatory.
