About the role

Your task is to serve as a special education teacher in Liipola. You will be primarily responsible for second-grade students in close cooperation with class teachers and will also work across other grade levels. We hope you are ready to collaborate with other professionals at the site. There are 21 teaching hours per week. The Liipola site of Lähde comprehensive school provides high-quality basic education for students in grades 1-4 in the southern area of Lahti. Approximately 200 students and about 30 education and childcare professionals work at our site. The eligibility requirement is a qualification as a special education teacher. Qualification as a special class teacher is considered an advantage. We hope for an enthusiastic and development-oriented approach to work, as well as a strong vision for the implementation of the new curriculum. Experience in teaching students with immigrant backgrounds is valued. Teacher qualifications are determined in accordance with Decree No. 986/98 on the qualification requirements for teaching staff. If no qualified applicants are found, the position may be filled by a person who does not hold the official qualification. Please indicate your qualifications in your application and attach copies of the degree certificates proving your eligibility to the electronic application. Original certificates will be verified during a possible interview. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as required by Act 504/2002. The selected person may be asked for a certificate regarding a drug test. The position is subject to a 4-month probationary period.
