We are looking for a teacher of vocational qualification units at Stadin Vocational College for a fixed-term official relationship for the period 17.8.2026-31.7.2027. The task includes teaching and guidance in the welding field, sheet metal work and/or pipe installation, especially in shipyard recruitment training. The task is located on campus 3, Roihupello site (Holkkitie 5) or Myllypuro site (Runokylänkatu 2). The location will be specified during the recruitment process. Eligibility conditions and language skill requirements are determined by the provisions of sections 13 and 17 of Decree 986/1998 on the eligibility requirements for teaching. A person is eligible if they: 1) have completed a higher education degree suitable for the teaching task; 2) have completed teacher's pedagogical studies with a scope of at least 60 ECTS or 35 hours; and 3) have at least three years of practical work experience in tasks most closely corresponding to the content of the teaching task. In fixed-term positions, if there are no applicants who meet the eligibility requirements, applicants who lack the required eligibility will also be considered in accordance with section 23 of Decree 986/1998. The person appointed to the official relationship must submit a criminal record extract as referred to in the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). If you have completed your degree outside of Finland, you need a degree recognition decision from the Finnish National Agency for Education by the end of the application period. We require strong professional experience and practical experience in the welding field. We consider IWS training and VT1 qualification as an advantage.
