About the role

The Day Surgery ward is located at the core of the New Children's Hospital's modern high-technology facilities. Our ward treats patients aged 0–16 requiring surgical care from a wide range of specialties, diagnostic examinations performed under anesthesia, and other minor procedures. The pediatric emergency anesthesia and surgery ward is located on the same floor, with which the day surgery clinical instructor works in close cooperation. The clinical instructor's operating environment covers the Day Surgery and Leiko operations. The clinical instructor's duties include planning and coordinating the orientation and continuing education of the ward's nursing staff, developing and strengthening the ward's nursing expertise together with supervisors and area responsibility groups, ensuring the quality of nursing care based on evidence in accordance with the magnet hospital quality assurance criteria, and patient care tasks. Work is mainly done on weekday mornings. We value an active, innovative and development-oriented approach as well as excellent interaction and cooperation skills. Experience in perioperative and children's nursing, and additional training suitable for the position, is considered an advantage. Salary is determined according to the SOTE agreement, with the position-specific salary being 3595.56 euros per month. In addition, possible experience bonuses apply. Eligibility requirements for the position: Licensed healthcare professional. A suitable upper university degree and suitable experience, or a lower university degree supplemented by studies suitable for the clinical instructor's position and suitable experience, or a vocational college degree in the field supplemented by studies suitable for the clinical instructor's position and suitable experience. The person selected for the position must present a registry extract required for those working with children in accordance with Section 6, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993). We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health statement on pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
