The City of Kotka's public library is seeking a Library Clerk for a permanent position. Kotka's public library consists of a main library, two branch libraries, and a bookmobile. The workstation for the current vacancy is the main library. Work may also take place at other library points. We are looking for a library professional. You are familiar with the library environment and can smoothly serve diverse customers of all ages. Performing the duties requires versatile skills; your tasks include, for example, cataloging content, collection management, and guidance. Interest in adult literacy work and promoting the joy of reading is considered an advantage. Eligibility for the position is a vocational qualification in library and information science or a basic vocational qualification that includes, or is supplemented by, at least 60 ECTS or an equivalent amount of library and information science studies. Salary and other terms of employment are determined according to the general municipal government collective agreement (KVTES). Working hours are 36 h 15 min / week, and the work includes evening and weekend shifts. The salary for the position is €2,581.40 / month. The probationary period is six months.
