Pirkanmaan Kalatalouskeskus ry is seeking a fisheries professional to handle diverse fisheries advisor duties within the organization's operational area, based at the association's Tampere office. We require the applicant to have suitable education for the position, IT skills, initiative, flexibility, cooperation skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a group. The applicant must have access to their own car and the skills to navigate waters using the association's boat. The job description includes, among other things, fisheries supervision, fish stocking, duties of the fisheries area operational manager, monitoring, investigation, youth and other projects, advising members and customers, eel fishing with traps, and work related to the Tampere fish market. The fisheries advisor will participate extensively in the ideation, implementation, reporting, and communication of the association's activities and projects. The position is filled for an indefinite period with a 6-month probationary period. Salary is according to the framework agreement for the advisory sector. The work is primarily daytime, but during peak seasons and for certain tasks, work is also performed in the evenings (e.g., organization meetings, fisheries supervision, and other field work) and on weekends (e.g., Tampere fish market).
