As an aftercare social worker, you will be responsible for supporting adult youths entitled to aftercare based on the Child Welfare Act and arranging services together with the youth and their network. You will act as the client's primary social worker and be responsible for the overall client process. In the adult aftercare team, you will be supported by your immediate supervisor, other team members, and social and healthcare professionals throughout the wellbeing services county. The workstation is located in Tampere, but the working area is the entire Pirkanmaa region, as work is carried out extensively within the youth's networks. If the position cannot be filled by an applicant meeting the eligibility criteria, it may be filled on a fixed-term basis by an applicant with substitute eligibility according to Section 12 of the Act on Social Care Professionals. A student will work under the guidance and supervision of a qualified social worker. Your work includes client and reporting tasks, so we require fluent written and oral skills in Finnish. Additionally, we require expertise in working with youth appropriate to the demands of the position. Good interaction and cooperation skills as well as a readiness for independent work are considered an advantage. We value experience from different sectors of social work, especially child welfare aftercare and working with young adults. Additional information: - Starting date is from September 1, 2026, or by agreement. - A six-month probationary period applies. - The work is full-time, and the regular working hours are 37 hours and 45 minutes per week. Work is performed on weekdays. - Selection for the position is conditional until the selected person has presented an occupational health assessment, which is conducted at our occupational health center, Pirte.
