About the role

We are seeking an instructor for a permanent position to join our professional and cheerful team at the Olarinluoma temporary accommodation. Olarinluoma temporary accommodation is located in the Olarinluoma service center and provides temporary housing for homeless mental health and substance abuse clients in the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county. The Olarinluoma service center operates on the Housing First principle. The service center includes temporary accommodation, supported housing, and 24-hour service housing. In temporary accommodation, clients are supported and guided in taking care of basic needs and healthcare, and the client's social needs are mapped. Future plans for clients are made in cooperation with the clients and their network. The goal is for all clients to find a permanent form of housing. Temporary accommodation is open 24 hours a day, and clients can access it with a low threshold without an appointment. As an instructor, you will be responsible, together with a multidisciplinary team, for the overall well-being of clients and supporting their functional capacity. The work is versatile, planned, and active client work based on a client-centered approach. As an instructor, you will work actively with clients, supporting and guiding them according to agreed goals. The work includes guiding clients in managing daily life, network work with various operators, and service guidance, including support and official agency matters. Work is performed with a partner in three shifts. Workplace name and address: Luomanportti 9, 02200, Espoo Working hours: Cycle work 114h 45m / 3 weeks, three-shift work, including weekends and night shifts. The position is permanent. Suitable education for the position: Vocational qualification in social and health care (practical nurse) or other equivalent degree. Requirements for the position: Successful performance of the duties requires a readiness for client-centered substance abuse and mental health work, as well as good cooperation and interaction skills. Additionally, we require Valvira registration, vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act, and a tuberculosis screening according to Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act. Those selected for the position may be randomly asked for a drug test in accordance with the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county substance abuse program.
