The City of Porvoo's early childhood education services are seeking an early childhood education childcare worker for a fixed-term employment contract from 31.8.2026 to 31.5.2027, or starting as agreed. The primary place of work is the Gammelbacka kindergarten in the 2-4-year-olds group. Gammelbacka kindergarten provides Finnish-language early childhood education in four children's groups and pre-primary education in two groups. Culture and physical activity are central themes in our activities. Children's own thoughts, wishes, and feelings provide the basis for activities and their planning. As an early childhood education childcare worker, you will participate in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of activities together with your own team and other kindergarten staff in accordance with the early childhood education plan and the pre-primary education plan. Together with your team, you are responsible for the care and education of the children's group. We are looking for a childcare worker who brings warmth, joy, and courage to everyday life. Most importantly to us, you are a sensitive educator who knows how to meet children and their guardians in an appreciative and respectful manner. Eligibility is based on the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). Working hours: 38.25h/week. Salary according to the KVTES level salary. The position-specific salary for those meeting the eligibility requirements is 2612.81-2661.31€/month. Before the selection is confirmed, the selected person must present a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) and show an approved tuberculosis infection screening questionnaire in accordance with Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act.
