Small daycares are rare these days. With us, you won't get lost in the crowd, but will work in a close-knit and open community. You will be able to work closely with the children and the team and genuinely influence the smoothness of daily operations. Ideas are not left in a desk drawer but are implemented flexibly together. Marjalax Daycare is a small daycare in Olari, operating as a purchased service daycare for the city of Espoo. We are maintained by a support association consisting of parents, and the daycare has 18 full-day care places for children aged 1-5, three educators, and our own cook. As a director, you will work daily with the children in the daycare's routine and be responsible for the unit's financial and personnel administration. Systematic organization is your strength, and experience in pedagogical and administrative leadership is considered an advantage. You will also work in the group as an educator in the role of an early childhood education teacher. Your duties include supporting children's growth, development, and learning, planning and implementing activities according to the early childhood education plan, and creating a safe and inspiring environment. Another early childhood education teacher also works in the children's group, with whom you will collaborate closely and share teaching duties in a manner you deem appropriate. We also collaborate closely with parents to support the children's growth and development. We are open on weekdays from 8:00 to 17:00. The daycare is closed for five weeks in the summer and two weeks during Christmas, during which the staff also takes leave. Work begins on January 4, 2027. We review applications during the application period and will fill the position once a suitable person is found.
