We are seeking a bilingual Finnish-English classroom teacher for the sixth grade starting in September, to join a collaborative and skilled team at Maunula Elementary School. Candidates with experience in multicultural and international classrooms are preferred. The role includes teaching physical education to multiple groups. The school provides a rich, diverse environment with approximately 600 students, including Finnish- and English-language basic education, two special classes in the local service domain, supported special education, and a class for linguistic special needs (SLI). Our pedagogy emphasizes collaborative teaching, trying new methods, and focusing on student well-being and learning. The school operates in two temporary premises this academic year, Mäkelänkatu 84 and Paloheinäntie 40b; the English-language teaching position is at the Mäkelänkatu unit.
