Oulunkaaren Environmental Services provides municipal environmental health services for Ii, Utajärvi, Vaala, Pudasjärvi, and Puolanka. The unit operates three veterinary clinics, each staffed by one veterinary assistant and 2-3 veterinarians. We are seeking a substitute Veterinary Assistant for the Vaala clinic for the period from September 1, 2026, to June 1, 2027. The Vaala clinic employs two municipal veterinarians and one veterinary assistant, providing basic veterinary services for small animals. Additionally, large animals are treated in Vaala, Utajärvi, and Puolanka. The role involves working with small animals at the clinic and assisting veterinarians with large animals during farm visits. Key responsibilities include customer service, assisting veterinarians with both small and large animals, laboratory work, equipment maintenance, maintaining cleanliness and order, and patient scheduling. The position follows general working hours (38.25h/week) and consists of day shifts.
