About the role

At Yara, we produce solutions for sustainable agriculture and environmental protection. In cooperation with various actors, we participate in solving global challenges such as the sufficiency of food and natural resources and climate change profitably and responsibly. Yara Uusikaupunki's project management department is responsible for the implementation of the plant's projects and the management of the investment portfolio. Annually, we implement about a hundred different investments that support the plant's operation, safety, efficiency, and development. We are looking for an automation engineer with strong development potential to complement our project organization. In the position, you will implement versatile process industry investment projects from design to commissioning in a dynamic and evolving work environment. Job description and responsibilities: As an automation engineer, your duties include: - Design, coordination, and implementation of automation and instrumentation entities for investment projects in cooperation with the rest of the project organization, production, maintenance, design offices, equipment suppliers, and contractors - Guidance of design and technical supervision, drafting of equipment and procurement specifications, guidance and coordination of contractors, planning and implementation of FAT/SAT/commissioning tests in investment projects - Risk assessments, change management, and maintenance of technical documentation, development of solutions related to process safety and operational reliability What do we expect from you? Successful performance of the task requires a suitable university degree in automation technology (e.g., Master of Science in Technology or Engineer) and deepened expertise through practical work experience. In addition, we expect from you: - Experience in instrumentation design or field device installations in an industrial environment - Knowledge of industrial automation systems (DCS, SIS, PLC) - Knowledge of the basics of project management - Ability to lead technical entities and act with different stakeholders - Fluent Finnish and English language skills - An active, self-motivated, and solution-oriented way of working - Commitment to our high level of occupational safety What do we offer?
